Best cash flow forecasting software for ecommerce brands (2026)
Most "best cash flow software" lists are written by people who have never placed a stock order. This one is written by a Shopify store owner, and it uses one honest test: can the tool see the biggest cash movements an ecommerce business makes, which are stock purchases? For five of the six tools below the answer is no, and that's fine, they're built for other kinds of business. The list says who each one is actually for.
1. Cushion, best for brands that hold stock
Our product, bias declared above. The pitch in one line: your cashflow forecast knows what stock is coming, your stock view knows what cash you'll have, and your sales forecast drives both. Read-only connections to your store, your accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent, NetSuite) and your bank. £299 a month flat, 14 days free. If you don't hold inventory, don't buy it, the tools below are cheaper.
2. Float, best pure cashflow tool for small teams
The one we'd use ourselves if we had no stock. Mature, accountant-approved forecasting on live Xero or QuickBooks data, scenario planning, 13-week rolling view. From £99 to £295 a month, 14-day trial. No inventory model at all, which is the only reason it isn't top for brands. Full comparison: Float vs Cushion.
3. Futrli by Sage, best for accountant-led forecasting
Now owned by Sage, aimed as much at accountancy practices as at businesses. Three-way forecasting (cash, P&L, balance sheet) and strong client reporting. Entry pricing starts around $40 to $60 a month and climbs with licence counts. If your accountant drives your forecasting, this is probably what they'll reach for.
4. Pulse, best budget option
The simplest tool on the list and the cheapest at from $29 a month with a 30-day trial. Straightforward cash in, cash out, scenarios. Built for freelancers, agencies and service businesses. No stock, no bank feed depth, no pretence otherwise, and at this price that's fair.
5. Agicap, best for mid-market finance teams
The heavyweight European option: treasury management, payables and receivables, multi-entity consolidation, 300+ bank integrations. Pricing is sales-gated with a 12-month minimum term, which tells you the intended buyer: a finance team, not a founder. More tool than most brands need.
6. Dryrun, best for CFO-level scenario modelling
Positioned at the "office of the CFO" in mid-market companies, replacing sprawling spreadsheet models with scenario forecasting across ERPs (Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, Xero). Pricing via demo only. Strong at what-if modelling, not built for ecommerce operations.
